Hi, again
I just got back from a trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana. I went with a friend of
mine to pick up his mom, whom, had been staying with her sister in Fort
Wayne.
Our trip began with a drive in the rain last Wednesday and we got as far as
Knoxville, Tn. We did not have a lot of time to explore in Knoxville but
the next day we drove on to Indianapolis and got a room. We called the local
gay and lesbian hotline and got the location of several clubs. We made it
to The Varsity Lounge which was a very nice meeting place. The clientel
and staff were exceptionally freiendly and helpful. We also made the trip
to the Indianapolis Zoo, I found it to be very nice and well kept.
I have some pictures that will be added to this page when I get them back
and scanned.
I have more pics but have misplaced the roll, bear with me.
The next leg took us on into Fort Wayne, where we got our rooms
and preceeded to see a little of the town. Went to the science
museum which was an excellent hands on type of exploration for
me. I recommend it to all visitors that have a mechanical
interest and curiousity about our world.
Dinner was outstanding and another place that I recommend to all
who visit, though reservations should be made. Paula's Seafood.
We later called the Gay/lesbian hotline in Ft Wayne and optained
several clubs and made our way to the After Dark, which was a
nice club that had a dance floor and very friendly staff. My
personal thanks to the guy from New Orleans... I apologize that I
don't remember his name, but he made us feel at home. Special
thanks to Guy at the Gay/Lesbian Helpline (744-1199) for all his
help and honest interest in out trip.
The trip home after picking up Rich's mom was a hell of a trip,
rain and the mountains made for a schedule breaker and we had to
stop for another night in Virginia but that was pure rest. This
Morning, Monday the 29th, was a completly different day, clear
skys and warmer wheather made the trip through NC and SC
especially nice. But I am glad to be home see my doggies.
