Cracker Barrel and the Withlacoochee Trail

Dust off your bicycles and shine your spokes, this is BAMACT's "kickoff" bicycle trip for Year 2003. Tom and Herb will begin their day up at the Cracker Barrel in Brooksville at 8:30 am, then will be off to the Withlacoochee Trail near Brooksville by 10:30 am. COME ON OUT and JOIN THE FUN!!!
Location of Cracker Barrel:
I-75 at SR 50 (old Ext 61)
Directions to Trailhead:
From Tampa, take I-275 north to I-75 and continue north to the SR 50 Ext (old Exit 61), then go east about a mile or so, and you will see the trailhead on your left (the north side of the road).
From Ocala or Gainesville area, take I-75 south to SR 50 (old Exit 61)
From Orlando, take SR 50 to I-75 for the restaurant, or take SR 50 to a point just west of US 98. After that junction, look for the trailhead on your right (the north side of the road)

Little Manatee River State Park
Campout and Canoe Trip
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 2 thru 4, 2003
This is BAMACT's 3rd Annual Campout and Canoe Trip. For those who want to camp, we will begin our outing on Friday evening and stay at the campground till midday Sunday. For those only interested in the canoe trip, we will meet at the Canoe Outpost and begin on Saturday morning at 11:00 am, launching where the Little Manatee River crosses US 301.

From Orlando, take I-4 west to I-75 south, to Ext 240A, then go east to US 301, then south four (4) miles to Lightfoot Road, turn right. Park is on the right.
From Gainesville, Ocala, East Pasco, Temple Terrace area, take 1-75 south to Ext 240A, then go east on US 301, then south four (4) miles to Lightfoot Road, turn right. Park is on the right.
From Pinellas, take I-275 south over the Sunshine Skyway Bridge to I-75, then north toward Tampa, to Ext 229, then east to US 301, then north six (6) miles to Lightfoot Road, turn left. Park is on the right.

Fees
Day Pass (No Camping) $3.25 per vehicle (for up to eight persons)
Camping Rates: $13.00 per nite per site (up to four persons per site)
Camp Site Electricity & Water: $2 per nite
Pet Fee: $2 per nite (proof of recent rabies shots required)
