Dead Or Alive Boudoir Noir

SMALL HITS AND NEAR MISSES
Inevitable Records Compilation
U.K. Release Date: 1984

The story really begins back in 1978 when Pete Fulwell who ran Eric's Club in Liverpool and Jerry Lewis who ran Amazon Studios decided to get together and form a label.

The first act who were supposed to be on the label were DALEK I LOVE YOU, hence the inclusion of the original version of what later became their first single - 'Freedom Fighters'. In the event the DALEKS went elsewhere and the label was not officially launched until a year later (Christmas 1979).

During 1980 we found ourselves constantly at the top of the independent charts with singles by WAH! and DEAD OR ALIVE.
In May 1981 the original partnership split up; Pete Fulwell set up his own Eternal Records with Pete Wiley of WAH!, and Jerry Lewis continued with Inevitable.

The next group to be signed by us was CHINA CRISIS who released their first single 'African and White' with us in January 1982.

The current Inevitable line up includes: FREEZE FRAME, BOX OF TOYS, THE BUILDERS, AND VENUS ADORE (this being the first vinyl release for the latter two). Also included on this collection is a track by the infamous MARGOX which although recorded some time ago was never released.
