WILD & WET WEEKEND 98 ON THE OCCASION OF THE FIRST ANNUAL IGLTA CONVENTION IN MONTREAL, THE WILD & WET PARTY TO BE HELD AT McGILL UNIVERSITY'S McCONNELL ARENA The BBCM Foundation (Bad Boy Club Montreal) is pleased to announce that it will hold its very popular WILD & WET Party at the McConnell Arena of McGill University on Sunday, May 17, 1998, from 9PM to 10AM. This party, held for the first time this year in a venue for over 4,000 people, is the main event of the WILD & WET WEEKEND held during the Victoria Holiday in Canada. This year, the event coincides with the annual convention of IGLTA (International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association) taking place for the first time in Montreal and attracting a larger number of out-of-town participants. The second largest gay party in Canada (after the Black & Blue), the WILD & WET, in its 7th year, promises to be a night to remember as thousands of people will gather in this celebration of water, music and pure fun. The WILD & WET attracts tourists from all over North America as well as many Montrealers. IGLTA delegates will have special privileges at selected Wild & Wet events. This year's event will feature the excellent DJ Abel, for his first appearance in Montreal. Abel is well known in the world of circuit parties having done many memorable performances in major events throughout North America, as well as resident DJ at Club Salvation in South Beach. Abel will be followed by Montreal's own Stéphane Grondin (SKY, Playground bar, BBCM events) whose popularity is rising in Montreal and who promises to make the WILD & WET a night to remember. The BBCM is also very proud to present, for the first time in Montreal, Byron Stingily of Nervous Records (formerly with Ten City) who will perform his huge hit « Get up » and his excellent version of « You make me feel (Mighty Real) ». And of course the energetic Bad Boy Club dancers will bring a touch of their own with an original opening act and animation throughout the evening, with surprises... Major sound & lights and special effects will be on the menu to transform the McConnell Arena into an impressive party venue. The WILD & WET is the spring dance event to the benefit of the BBCM Foundation, a non-profit organization that distributes donations to direct AIDS care groups and to gay and lesbian community groups (to include this year the Mc Gill AIDS Centre). Tickets for the WILD & WET are presently on sale at Priape Montreal, Bodytech and Wega Video at a special price of $35 only (instead of $45) for the first 500 tickets. Regular tickets in advance are $45 and can be purchased at Priape Montreal & Toronto Wega Video, and Club La Cité.
