Barbie's Walk

February 19, 1998

Thursday morning I dressed en'Femme for my morning walk around the block. First time, dressed to walk for exercise. Breasts, D size, and blonde wantabe wig, with blue jeans, blue shirt, white shoes, and fanny pack for the junk I'd normally carry in my pockets. I don't want to stretch my pants out in all the wrong places, do I? We typically walk about 5AM and I doubt if anyone will even see me. As we turn the corner, I see the lights of a car at the other end of the block. KT says it's the paperboy. We've seen him before, no problem, he just tosses the papers from his car. But not that morning, he stops the car and is hand delivering the papers up the walks. And as luck would have it, is walking back towards us on our side of the street. I try to slow down to let him get to his car, but decide its better to just keep going and not do something strange like stop and wait in the dark. Well, we pass and I doubt if he even noticed me. Just two girls and a dog out for a morning walk.

Later in the day, KT and I dress in matching outfits, black skirts and silver tops even matching jewerly, and head over to Carla's for the newspaper interview and photo session, plus I was to get my nails done afterwards. It took a while for the reporter to notice that KT and I were wearing the same thing. She said that on some TV show that morning; was a report about couples who dress alike. It may come to pass that I get a make over next week at Carla's and photos of it. I'll see what happens, sounds like fun to me.

Friday I dressed sort of femme, white pants and red top, white walking shoes with nylons exposed beneath my pant's cuffs and my black lady's jacket. No wig, but did have my long hair brushed out sort of femme looking, light pink lipstick, a touch or two of mascara, and cover makeup and rouge. The four pad and breast enhancers on, (the breast enhancers make me a B to C instead of my full sized D's. With the smaller breasts, the jacket managed to hide them from direct view. Kind of a unisex look I'd guess, no purse, but the fanny pack around my waist. Went shopping with KT at the nearby Kmart. No problem, no raised eyebrows, nothing. Only incident happened; when a female shopper started going through the belts I had left in the cart; as I looked for some stationery and birthday cards. I had found some nice gold chain belts for only $3 each. Matching ones, for KT and me. Anyway this woman started looking them over, like she was going to put them in her cart. A quick a'hem and she dropped them and scurried off. But still nothing about my appearance, just her lack of shopping skills. I am embarrassed to mention; I did pick up a box of 10 knee hi's. No problem in the checkout line either, I wonder if I had carried a purse instead of the fanny pack; but no problem as I was.

After Kmart we headed over to the grocery store, I was even practicing my femme walk in the aisles. Here I did have a problem, managed to pick the slowest checkout line, but I can do that in drab as well. So I won't blame my look. Again I wonder, what's the limit? If the breasts had been more noticeable? purse? heels? skirt? nailpolish? wig? But the unisex look seems to draw no attention to me.
