Well, June 25th is Mary of Iowa's birthday and she has developed a tradition for the past three years of coming to Nashville to celebrate. So it was for the third year in a row, we were honored to serve as host and hostesses for a social/celebration with Mary.
The first stop was the Tribe for dinner...we had a wonderful repast, all 5 of us. The 5 in attendance were me, Vickie, Mary, Fridrikka and Connie. Actually there was a sixth person, Melissa, who is camera shy so no pictures of her..(smile). I hope to be able to add a group shot with Connie and/or Fredrikka once the second photographer's pictures are forwarded to Vickie, however, these are the pictures that were taken with Roy and my camera. After the Tribe, we went to the Gas Lite which was crowded due to it being "kaokake saturday". We had a drink and took a couple of pictures and moved on to the Jungle where we enjoyed a show, and a bit more quiet.
I think I speak for all of us when I say we all had a good evening. As usual we got to visit with people at the various bars that we already know...so it was an occasion of celebration but also a "get back in touch with the community" type event for both Roy and myself, who haven't been out that much. Of course I think, actually, the less we go out, the more we seem to enjoy it. Interesting findings there.
