Music:  Gay Bands

• Atlanta Freedom Marching Band
  One of the nation's largest and most active marching bands of it's type. "Whether you play an instrument, twirl batons or flags, or just enjoy band music, the AFMB has a place for you"

• DC's Different Drummers
  Washington, D.C. metropolitan area's Concert Band, Swing Band, Marching Band, and Pep Band. "Though we come from differing backgrounds and experiences, we share the goal of excellence in music. Our musical family includes players with varying talents and abilities. We have in our ranks professional musicians, music students, former members of the top military bands, and individuals whose last musical performances date back to their high school or college days."

• Lakeside Pride Freedom Band (Chicago, Illinois, USA)
  "The LAKESIDE PRIDE FREEDOM BAND is a lesbian and gay musical organization committed to the education of the public at large about the positive aspects of the metropolitan Chicago lesbian and gay community through public musical performances, workshops and non-musical events."

• Lesbian and Gay Bands of America
  "Lesbian and Gay Bands Of America (L.G.B.A.) is the national musical organization comprised of concert and marching bands from cities across America. Formed in 1982 when seven independent lesbian and gay bands met formally in Chicago, L.G.B.A. has grown to 22 bands while remaining dedicated to its original goals: of providing a national network of lesbian and gay bands at all stages of development, promoting music as a medium of communication among people, and improving the quality of artistic organizational aspects of member bands, and stimulating public interest in the unique art form of community band music in our culture."

  A Twin Cities-based lesbian and gay concert and marching band;  voluntary, non-profit musical organization composed of lesbians, gay men, and their friends."
