The pictures below are taken mostly of the ship and around the ship.  If you would like to see pictures taken on particular island, just click on the appropriate link below.  You should also be able to click on the thumbnails of the pictures to see the bigger versions.  (I took 9 rolls of film and these are just snippets of what I shot.  Karen took 2 rolls of underwater camera film when we went snorkeling.)

c0202.jpg (33462 bytes)Upon arrival to our cabin, we are greeted by life jackets on the bed.  What a welcome site that is for me--the non-swimmer.  Every time we have gone on a cruise, this is what I see when I first open the door to the cabin and believe me... don't think that the Titanic doesn't go running through my mind!!!

c0203.jpg (19288 bytes)From our balcony, we see Carnival's Destiny.  Karen and I took our first cruise together in 1997 on that ship.  At that time, it was the biggest ship at 101,000 gross tons.  Our ship, The Adventure of the Seas is 138,000 gross tons.  It amazes me how something this huge can float.

c0206.jpg (45641 bytes)c0207.jpg (34375 bytes)To the left is the Promenade which is the main floor of the ship.  A lot of activity goes on here during all hours of the day.  On each side are either shops or restaurants.  There are stands here where you can get delicious soft serve ice cream 24 hours a day.  To the right is a picture from a higher floor looking down to the entrance of the Promenade.  The glass windows are actual cabins with a view of the Promenade.  These cabins went up at least 3 floors and lined the Promenade.  Definitely a neat idea for an indoor cabin!

c0208.jpg (20876 bytes)One of the first things that is done when all are onboard is the Muster Drill.  Everyone must wear this life preserver and go to his or her designated location.  This is a mandatory safety drill and it takes a long time because often times people dawdle.  It is not over until every guest is accounted for.

c0209.jpg (23642 bytes)Here is Penny dressed in formal attire for the first of two formal dining nights on the ship.  The girl likes to get decked out!  Yowza!  What's a Mommycat to do?
