Do you virtually fly? Want to learn? Use MS Flight Simulator™ as a training device, or as your primary "hands-on" aviation experience? Cascade Flyers members are invited to join the CF Flight Sim listserve. Fly with fellow memebers, go on virtual fly-outs, or ask for help in getting your virtual plane off the runway.
Mike W. shows what you can do with Flight Sim™::
"As a virtual pilot, or VP, I have logged in around 6000 hours, so that allows me to have a forum to interact with pilots and VP's. My new Flightsim 2004™, has many updates and weather options that can change on a moment's notice. The interaction with ATC and enroute services along with the new IFR training and instructor's station is state of the art for flight simmers. I hope that some of you might check out the airline I fly for, Pacific West Airways, which I am the executive director for charter ops. I have been with them for 4 years. I develop flights, plans, weather, and interactive places for VP's to take their Flightsim to the next level. You can check out the Virtual Airline at www.PacificWestairways.com , take a tour. There are hundreds of VA's but this one has won awards for one of the best VA's in the world. I fly out of SFO, and currently fly a 777 from SFO to Sydney. There is online ATC called VATSIM, which consists of actual ATC personnel who follow you on your flights, and will let you know if you screw up, as well as flight following, and it is a great way to test all of your skills and developing skills." |
