Bad Day

My day started out bad and got worse and then got better and then a little better...and then I came home and Mom and I had a little talk...

How long before you screw it up
How many times do I have to tell you to hurry up
...
Be a good girl
You've got to try a little harder
That simply wasn't good enough
To make us proud

...and life suddenly plummeted back to "sucks ass".

I feel just like I'm sinking
and I claw for solid ground
I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
oh darkness I feel like letting go

Isn't it amazing that no matter how old you get, your parents still have the ability to ruin your day?
