Under Your Spell

The following song has been going through my head over and over today, but can't fit in its entirety in my AIM profile. So I'm putting the full lyrics here instead. Anyway, "Under Your Spell" is probably my favorite song from the musical episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer: "Once More, With Feeling". It's always just seemed so appropriate, so fitting to my own life and the music itself is so beautiful. It swells at all the right moments and is just full of musical moments that I always like. It's Tara's lovesong to Willow. For those of you unfamiliar with the show and/or the characters, Tara and Willow are girlfriends (and witches...hence the double meaning in the lyrics about spells and magic). Tara is rather shy, though she's blossomed so much by being with Willow. Unfortunately, in November, despite still being very much in love, they broke up. That happened before Thanksgiving, but needless to say, it gave me an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach...

Anyhow, lately, their relationship (as ex's) has improved a little bit and there are definite "moments" between them when the world around disappears or when one will talk about seeing the other one and get a gleeful grin on her face. Like I said, it's a little too close to my own life at times...
