| If you want to go to a club for the first time to meet
other transgendered people Gigi's on a Saturday night is
probably your best bet. They're very accepting, have been around for almost 25 years,
and there are enough
transgendered people who come for Saturday nights that odds are you'll meet several.
And yes, Virginia, you
can use the ladies' room... There is a $1.00 cover for dancing upstairs (the music is
universally lambasted, but
people still dance) or $5.00 for a pretty good drag show downstairs - showtimes 10:30
PM and 12:30 PM.
It's a bit of a dive, and somewhat smoky at times, but attracts the widest variety of
people imaginable -
gay men, lesbians, straight couples, transvestites, transsexuals and men trolling for
same, of all ages and races.
There's parking behind the building - you'll probably want to arrive around 10:00 to
be sure of a spot close in.
People sometimes complain that Gigi's gets boring after a while, but it's still the

| Caesars is another drag club. I've been there Fridays and
Saturdays - $3.00 cover, typically several shows a night with dancing in between. The
dance music is
generally considered above average. The drag queens are not the best dancers and
performers I've ever seen, but
several of the regulars are VERY attractive. It attracts both a local crowd and a few
Michigan girls who don't like to go
out too close to home. One note of caution - you'll have to walk some distance from
the closest parking lot to get there
and although it isn't in a horrible neighborhood, you should be on your guard. Thank
