Welcome to the Kitsap County PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) Homepage! PFLAG is a non-profit international organization, founded in 1981 by PFLAG President Mitzi Henderson. There are more than 69,000 families represented by PFLAG.
PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay lesbian and bisexual persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverses society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. Parents Familes and Friends of Lesbians and Gays provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.
