A tribute to John Carpenter's Halloween

Be prepared, Michael's not dead........and yes, another Martin Elstone masterpiece!

Welcome to my dedication to John Carpenter's:Halloween

Halloween is by far the best "slasher" movie ever made. In fact it was the first movie of it's kind, and spawned a movie genre. Without Halloween thier could not have been Friday the 13th, and many profitable horror movies of the 1980's.

Halloween is also responsible for one of the birth most terrifying creatures ever created Michael Myers!

Michael Myers was a seemingly normal boy who grew up in the small town of Haddonfield, Illinois. But on one Halloween, Michael with no warning whatsoever kills his sister, stabbing her repeatedly. Myers is taken to an Asylum where he will spend the rest of his life. Then on Halloween, 20 years later, Michael escapes and returns to Haddonfield. Disguised with a haunting pale mask, Myers proceeds to redo the same deed he 20 years earlier, but this time, over, and over, and over, again!

This movie is one of Carpenter's best work. Instead of using gore, Mr. Carpenter uses imaginative camera angles, which is pulled off extremely well. There is virtually not any sight of blood in this movie, which seems wierd by today's "slasher movie standards". Personally, I think if Hollywood want's to make "slasher flicks" what they were in the 80's, watch this movie and take some notes!

Halloween has many sequels. I have seen everyone. They are all pretty well done and acted. (Halloween 6), could have been better, but it's still better than most of today's shoody horror movies. H20 was outstanding!!! I really enjoyed it!!! Judging by the box office take, there will be plenty of Halloween sequels to go around!!! They are currently in production on Halloween 8. I will relay more news on this as soon as I can!
