The dolls pictured here are some that I wish I had in my collection. They are some of the most valuable of their kind. I did have the smaller 8 inch Wonder Woman doll as a child. However, due to lots of play the doll is in bad shape and has a torn costume. Oh well, that's what dolls are for, to play with, aren't they?

The above dolls are from the Ideal toy company. We have here Batgirl, Mera(Aquaman's wife), and Wonder Woman. Missing from this group is a Supergirl doll. They were produced in the mid 1960's. The line was called "Super Queens". Yes, I know, it sounds like some hoard of really big drag queens. I don't think they are all that great as dolls but their rarity makes them some of the most valuable dolls around. These photos come to me courtesy of collector supreme, John Medieros.

These two dolls were produced by Mego Corporation in the 1970's. They produced a great quantity of dolls during their short existance. They were best known for the heros and dolls based on television shows. They also did a nice Wizard of Oz set. I loved all of their superhero dolls when I was a child. The smaller doll is Wonder Girl, a character not seen in the comics for many years. Only recently have they introduced a new Wonder Girl.

This is the lovely Samantha doll from Bewitched fame. It's lovely but doesn't really look like Elizabeth Montgomery. This doll was done by Ideal but has a more mature look than the "SuperQueens" above. FAO Schwarz is producing an exclusive Samantha doll this year. I have only seen a couple of small pictures so far and the likeness is not great. Click here to go to a fun Bewitched site and you can see the new Samantha doll pics.
