Easter 1999 was the setting for my first visit to this facsinating country.  5 of my friends (Fiona, Kristen, David, Maurice and Tomo) flew to the fabulous archipelago nation of Greece to visit my Alexi.  We spent most of our time in Athens where Alex was living but went to some places outside of the capital. 
We visited the traditionally quaint and beautiful island of Hydra (pronounced Ythra), spend a day in Nafplio, one of the ancient capitals of Greece and also went to Delphi in the 'highlands' .  It was amazing to see snow capped mountains in the same week that some of us (not me) went swimming in the Med.
