WHERE DO YOU LIVE? In a very small town in Tennessee.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN? In a hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LIKE? Because music is an expression of emotion, I feel that it depends on, to quote Jem, "...the mood I'm in". It takes you places within yourself that you didn't even know you had, and in some cases, inside the composure that you'd never thought of. Classical music takes me to a serene place in the case of Pastorals, to a bold dynamic place in the case of "Night on Bald Mountain" and to mysterious places that defy words like in Moby's "God's Hand Moved Across the Water". Dance music lets me connect with an energy within myself like the Backstreet Boys, Mya, and/or the gazillion other pop bands out there. Madonna is my favorite artist, I'd have to say, however. Her music has run the gammut from her beginnings with "Material Girl" and its double-meaning lyrics to "Frozen" and its message. Music, like any other art form touches me in different ways. Even the controversial Marilyn Manson causes me to feel something different than say, the Dixie Chicks, who I also listen to. All in all, I think my favorite type of music is one that causes me to feel emotion of any sort because it reminds me I'm still alive.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE COLORS? As an artist, I have an appreciation of many colors. I like shades of all colors but I'm drawn to BRIGHT, VIBRANT colors! Red, Black, Purple stand out to me when I shop but electric blue and soothing, TRUE green are also stand-outs! COLOR as I stated in the opening page of my site, makes everything beautiful!!
WHAT IS THE ONE ACTIVITY THAT YOU SEE AS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME? Golf, for many different reasons. I don't like it, for one, and for another, how many acres of land do we devote to this when there are how many homeless people in this country that would benefit greatly for a fraction of that acreage to build a housing facility on? While I'm not condemning the activity, I just see it as a waste of time and space.
IF YOU COULD BE ANYONE ON EARTH FOR 1 DAY, WHO WOULD IT BE? I would most likely be someone who could change a child's life in a very significant way and on more than one level. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I want to shape the minds of the young into something formidable against racism, biggotry and hatred. Its a beautiful world out there but if our children are blinded at an early age by hateful words and actions, what happens to our future? It looks pretty dark, don't you think?
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN? I like to do a variety of things, but mostly things that stimulate me on many levels. Drawing, as you'll see on the other parts of my site, is a LARGE part of my life. Fashion design, comic book art and the like, are my favorite types of art. Reading takes up a lot of my time. Anne Rice, Dean Koontz and Byron are my faves. Robert Frost is my absolute favorite poet, as is Jim Morrison. I write fanfiction, regular fiction and some poetry, in my spare time. I've had some people to read some of it and they really like it. Some people read it and they don't understand it. Either way, writing helps me release and that's really the reason I do it.
DO YOU BELIEVE IN ESP? Absolutely. I've had first-hand experience with it through close friends and relatives. Most people call it intuition and that would be accurate but mine seems to go beyond that. I have premonatory dreams and the like but mostly my sense of intuition is VERY keen and that's a type of extra-sensory perception, I believe.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE TV SHOW? Buffy The Vampire Slayer! I'm not a big television buff but I do collect a lot of older shows on DVD. I've been called the "DVD SERIES KING" by friends. I doubt this is true but I do have "Jem", "Star Trek: TNG", "NYPD BLUE" and "OZ" on DVD - in addition to "Buffy", of course.
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE? Yes. His name was Derek. He was a beautiful man with a good heart. I met him when I was 16 years old. He was 17 at the time but it really didn't matter to me. He and I were together for 6 years until sadly, he was killed in a car accident. Even now, he holds a VERY special place in my heart!
WHAT STORES DO YOU LIKE TO SHOP IN? Waldenbooks, Davis Kidd, any comic book store I can find, J. Crew has comfy pants, and Bath and Body Works pampers me in a way few can!!!! LOVED "Strawberry Lemonade" stuff but it was discontinued, darn it!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE FOODS? I'm very fond of Chinese. I love Lemon Chicken, especially. Stir-Fry is another thing I like but its GOT to be prepared a certain way or I won't eat it. I also am a big fan of Italian foods, with Lasagna and Spaghetti being pretty near the top of my fave food list. The thing that gets me into trouble, however is Fettucini Alfredo.
WHAT IS (OR WHAT WAS) YOUR FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? English and Literature with a strong emphasis on Greek and Roman Mythology. I try to overlook the fact that the Romans didn't come up with thier gods, themselves, but rather took what the Greeks had created and re-named them. Right now, I'd have to say that Literature and English are the favorites along with my theatre classes.
WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL OR BREAKFAST FOOD? Cocoa Puffs are more than a cereal, they are a way of life!
HAS ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU DIED? My sister died in a car accident when I was 16. She was 26 and very close to me. She was survived by 2 children, who look more and more like her every day and are a WONDERFUL reminder of what a great person she was! Derek, the man I spoke of earlier, died when I was 22. He was 23. A very close friend when I was 23. Several of my friends have died from AIDS.
