I like your "soul-searching", seem that it's a really tough work. I've once experienced that too, but sure there is still a long road to run. No matter how hard one tries, seem that there is no end. So it's a thrill to see that you insert the deepest cogi ation into the poem. Well, your personal profile touches me a bit, being a farm boy, brought up with such a broad envionment, where it simulate one's life, from the very beginning, wide but empty, and eventually come to know who you are, find the focus. T ere is undoubtedly much ecstasy and grief, in between, but after the struggle, life is still on it's way. Pretty worth visiting.

You page is interesting and I liked your poem "Closeted Soul". I felt the same way. I didn't come outuntil I was 40 yrs, married with two sons.It is exteremely difficult. I too thought of staying in the closet, but I couldn't. I was also a United Meth dist minister 17 years). My life has totally changed, i divorced, left the church and lost many of my friends. I have a brother who refuses to speak to me. Fortunately the rest of my family (my parents, 3 other brothers and a sister) accept me for who am. My dad still has problems with it, but he's OK as long as I don't discuss it. It is difficult being gay and living in a straight world. BUT, it is also getting a bit easier. My lover of over a year and I are being accepted into "straight" circles. In fact, some of our best times are with our straight friends. We can still jo e about "gay stuff". They joke right along with us and one straight female friend of mine is always telling me about her sex with her boyfriend. He's cute, by the way!

I'm an international student from Thailand. Being gay in my home country is far more difficult than it is in this country. I just read about your relationship. I think that was great. I'm really happy for you. I'm in a similar situation right now.
