A glimpse ...

The fun of being alive! The happiness of being with your friends! The embrace of life as one treads in the walks of life. Being different from the norms is somewhat hard for an individual! His exceptional talents makes one great. But then, loneliness can distort one's greatness.


The Gay Achievers' Club which was founded on August 15, 1982 is an organization of exceptional individuals with exemplary talents and knowledge. Based in Punta, Sta. Ana, Manila, this was founded by Armand Villarante (the first president), Danny Sarabia, Noel Guevarra, Kat-Kat Regalado, Pops Asajar and 8 more senior members. They have seen the discrimination being vested on their brothers whom others think as queer. So, in order to eradicate, or at least lessen that discrimination, they have founded this organization in order to group this exceptional individuals together. Thinking that through combining each indviduals' effort, they can be strong, can be heard, and can be taken-seriously. And they have succeeded such feat.

At a minimal member of 13 and through its existence for 17 years, this organization has at least 50 members to boast, whom all found moral refuge with co-exceptional friends. Although in each group, there will always be a group in it, the organization makes it a point to at least converge in one gathering in sharing and helping each other's out in their problems on existence with the society.

The organization as of this moment is in hiatus due to corporate calls on their leaders. But just like the phoenix, the organization always comes out from its ashes and gives joy, entertainment and service to their society.
