Early in Michael's career he
was photographed semi-nude by Photographer John Falocco. These images were published
in Mr. Falocco's "Bodyscapes and Dreamscapes" books. "I try to portray men
in a sensitive manner, as opposed to showing them as just sexual objects," Falocco
says. "I hope that people will look at these images in terms of artistic beauty, the
way one might look at a work of art by Michaelangelo. I think the body represents
something indicative of power and movement and great physical beauty. I want to capture
that, while at the same time showing the model's more sensitive side."
"I love to shoot in black and white, because it's truly unique to photography,"
Falocco says. "Color is the foundation of painting and the other fine arts, all of
which predate the invention of photography. Although I do shoot color as well, I've always
felt that color photography seems to try to duplicate what painting has already
accomplished over the centuries."
