"Little Big City", this is how people in Zurich like to call their city, and they are definitely right.
Situated at the boarders of Lake Zurich, the town counts only about 360 000 people. So some of you might think, that this isn't even worth to call it city. Well Zurich is the biggest town in Switzerland... and I sware to you...
it has much more to offer than chocolate, cheese, watches and mountains... Besides being the biggest city in Switzerland, Zurich is also the economic capital of the country. This means that most of Swiss Business gets handled by Zurich's financial place. Unfortunately money rules here, too !
It might be not the most beautiful city (some say that Bern, Lucerne or other Swiss cities are much nicer), but it is definitely the most interesting place! This place definitely rocks... it's one of the party capitals in good old Europe. Every year the famous "Streetparade" takes place. Always on the second weekend of August Zurich prepares itself to over half a million of visitors.

For those who might not know this event, the Streetparade is a huge Techno Parade with about 30 trucks playing all kind of Electronic Music, starting from one end of the Lake Avenue, crossing the whole town and finishing at the other edge of the "lake Riviera". And after the parade finishes, hundreds of little and big parties take place and makes Zurich become the capital of the world for one weekend. Zurich is a very tollerant city, viewed from religious, cultural or ethnic point of view. And we are proud of it. There are people speaking german, italian, french, turkish, spanish, greek, portuguese, thai, chinese, albanese and so on. At any given time you are surrounded of different cultures and lifestyles. And that's what makes Zurich a great place to live.
