She sang of sweet, sweet, sweet tea, With Alice. Wise Revolutionary.
With Alice she shared fame. She, a genius writer who asked no questions, She created, genorated, and gave birth to them.
Broke down barriers of taboo, Yet now, 53 years later, there still exists The fear of love.
You know that old cliche... LOVE spelled backwards is EVOL Those are the first four letters of EVOLUTION
HATE spelled backwards is ETAH And that doesn't begin to spell anything. Too bad this simple philosophy is not assimilated by America.
If we were to remove Alice, Then Gertude Stein would be accepted as genius, But Alice was part of Gertrude, Alice was part of Genius.
So again we play symantics, Twisting the word LOVE Into a monstrosity.
But a rose is a rose is a rose... And will never change It must be accepted for what it is.
Change only comes with EVOLUTION Of which the first four letters are EVOL Which backwards spells LOVE.
We speak this language Not always aware of the true meaning Behind each sylable, each word, each statement.
We speak of others Never knowing Their personal experience, their bias, their hidden selves.
People are recycled By other people who are ignorant, And inevidibly will be recycled by other more ignorant people.
They'll never understand The genius behind Gertrude Stein. They'll be too busy trying to remove Alice. |
