everywhere
the headlines howled
there was no despair
and the moguls were joyous

mattel was happy
they had a new game
everyone played it and thought
just the same
and the newsprint flowed
silver and change
and everyone bought it but no one
was blamed
o yes
it was in the papers

confetti fell
on the package from care
and the senders were joyous
everywhere
it was needle-point
and suicide
the word-makers knitted and
sid vicious died
