Men in Drag

A couple of these men, by the way, are straight. By which I do mean that they are not a couple.

Carmen If you've been to the Pridefest photo page, you've seen a photo of Carmen Veranda's alter ego. This photo was taken at the housewarming party for Ben (at right, one of Chris' co-workers) and his partner, Kurt.

Raisa Raisa Legupski performs "Condoms Are a Girl's Best Friend" at the Gay 90's in Minneapolis. Raisa is one of the alter egos of Jeff C____, my college roommate way too many years ago.

Drieux
Joey R_____ and Karen N______ admire Drieux H____'s get-up which he wore to a "pink party." If you've visited the portrait gallery, you've seen a slightly more conventional view of Drieux back in the day.
I ran into him when he was buying this outfit, and he was adamant that I not spoil his surprise. He never mentioned anything about not posting his picture on the internet, but then, Al Gore had only invented the thing a few weeks earlier.

Keisha
Keisha Sinclair strikes a pose at JoDee's International of Racine (established 1964. The bar, not the pose).

Stoneman
If you think this is a brave Hallowe'en costume for a biker, consider that the guy with the bird on his head is his father-in-law.

Mr. Oswald
And finally, here I am in the eighth grade.

I actually did wear this outfit in front of the entire school. Well, that portion of the school that came to see the Saturday night performance of "Here Come the Brides," a farce in which I played a creditor who pretends to be the bride of a debtor who needs a wife in order to stay in his uncle's will.

Hilarity is purported to have ensued.
