Phoenix Redux

Well it took about a year but I finally returned to Phoenix to party with my Vanity Club sister Lacey Leigh and we were joined by a third VC girl, Amanda Simpson from Tucson.
Started out with pics and wine in my room and then we ventured out to dinner.. I wore my brand new gray skirt, sweater and top outfit from Loehmann's along with silver hose and purse and gray suede pumps. God did I feel great! On the way we ran into the metal sculptures outside the Herberger Arts Center and, well you know girls and cameras, we just could resist snapping off a dozen or so - OK maybe two dozen <g>. Before you knew it the restaurants had closed
and we had to return to my hotel and eat and drink in the revolving dining room at the top of the building. A martini and glass of wine did wonders for our outlook.

The next day Lacey and Amanda went shopping as Amanda needed to build her wardrobe to transition to full time and beyond. I joined them during the afternoon at a very upscale mall in Scottsdale and after helping Amanda pick some lingerie we descended on Dillard’s incredible sale racks. (Yours truly restrained herself admirably given her 4 digit bill from the prior month’s worth of en femme fun and wardrobe acquisitions!) Returned to the hotel to rest up and change and go out to a wonderful dinner at Rox Sands in Scottsdale. We were surely the best dressed girls there and enjoyed a nice bottle of Chardonay and super food - I had Chilean sea bass that just dissolved in a melange of flavor when I ate it. After dessert and a ladylike walk down the staircase in my purple silk dress with high black heels and
hose (while drawing a few discreet soft whistles!), we took a bevy of photos in the courtyards of the very upscale shopping area surrounding the restaurant. How upscale you ask? Well check out the Gucci pics darling.

But we weren’t done yet. Drove over to the Arizona Biltmore, the luxury hotel and resort designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. This is one incredible work of art in the form of a building let me tell you and I could not help but think of Howard Roark and "The Fountainhead." We walked throughout the public lobby and lounge areas admiring the art deco light fixtures and furniture and the unique geometric pattern which Wright made the trademark of the Biltmore. Of course we took pics like mad and after exhausting ourselves with this display of vanity, we settled into the piano bar for a last evening cocktail (MacCallan 12-year old neat por moi) to enjoy one another’s company and savor the last embers of a wonderful en femme day. Back at my room I changed into my favorite grey lingerie and fell asleep as the sexiest Gina could be.

A wonderful two nites and day in the Valley of the Sun and I thank Lacey and Amanda for making it truly special and fun. I can’t wait to go back again!
