Cal Dreamin' - Day 2

(Click on the photos below to see the full-sized version)

On Saturday the fun continued. I wore a Jones of New York suit, Evan Picone blouse, gold Bandolino pumps and topped it all off with my George V English gold pound pendant. (OK so I'm showing off - isn't that what this is all about?)
My friend Lacey was kind enough to play photographer during the afternoon. She took what I think is going to become, if it is not already, my favorite photo; at least for me it just doesn't get any better than this, don't you agree?
Now for the best part. Saturday night was the big dinner and party. I had a dress made specially for the occasion, playing off a design I saw in Saks Fifth Avenue, and for which, lo and behold, I found the perfect shoes. Accessories were silver jewelry, including my Mexican bracelet, and antique silver purse and I wore my favorite perfume, Tuscany. Talk about being on Cloud 9! Had a great time during dinner talking with many new friends and seeing other girls I knew.
Here is one of me with my very good friend Espy Lopez, the owner and creator of Classic Curves, during the cocktail hour.
But the best part was afterwards when I went back to the Queen Mary and with whom? During the day at one of the sessions I met a really cute GG teaching assistant who was attending the meeting as part of her academic focus on transgender issues. Check out how close in color our outfits were! She had never been to the QM so I suggested a little "on site research" and off we went with several other girls. She was very intrigued by the whole scene, including the difference between the front room, where the more mixed audience attends the show, and the back room bar and dancing area, where the CD/TV demimonde unfolds in full flower. The usual exuberant Saturday night crowd made it extra memorable for her as well. Of course, I danced the night away until closing time again.
When I came home, however, I just couldn't resist snapping a quick pic sitting on my chariot.

What a great weekend and I am already looking forward to Southern Comfort in September!
