Carly is a real gem and was the perfect hostess.
The first night we started out by having a very nice dinner in the steakhouse
of the Peppermill Casino. The maitre de' could not have been nicer, the
martini and steak were first rate, and Carly and I enjoyed the pleasure
of each other's company as just two girls out on the town. |

We took some pics in and around the casino and
stopped at the 1099 Club for a nitecap. The bartender that night was Crystal,
the reigning empress of the 1998 Reno Coronation, who was most gracious.
I topped off the evening at the blackjack table where it was a real thrill
to roll the cards while dressed in black and pearls, an attire now generally
not seen in US casinos. A complete high! |
The next night was just as good and I had a special
treat. Carly's colleague at Hidden Woman is a super makeup artist named
Leona, who the night before offered as she would like to do my look from
scratch. So I elected to have my first professional makeover and what a
kick it was. Nothing quite matches sitting in a chair while someone pampers
you and makes you look as good as you can. Makeup is always fun but having
someone do you is a new order of sensuality. When Leona finished and I
looked in the mirror I felt like I was on Cloud 9. Carly and I just had
to take some new pics, for which I wore a purple silk dress that I love.
Dinner was oysters, shrimp and a nice sauvignon blanc. The waitress was
great (and cute). Her husband was a highway patrolman and she regaled us
with a story or two about traffic stops involving crossdressers. (Based
upon what she said I hope her husband stops any of us!) |

Then we were off again to 1099 where we took
the opportunity to snap a few pics up on the small stage it has for shows.
I dreaded going to bed and having to lose the lovely beauty Leona had given
me, so I took one last shot before retiring.
