1. What is QVC's purpose?

QVC's purpose is to provide an online forum for gays and lesbians to express themselves freely through the use of message boards (available on the Home page), discussion groups, and chat rooms as well as provide a lot of useful information about gays and lesbians in world culture throughout time.

2. What is Lambda's Call?

Lambda's Call is our 3D chat homestead on Colony City, and you can use 2D chat or 3D chat, whichever you prefer.

3. I went to the 3D chat room but I could not chat with anyone, what is wrong?

You are visiting the chat room as a visitor, thats why. When you don't have an account with colony city (don't worry, its all free) then you can only watch as other people chat. Thats why you should register for a free screenname and avatar as soon as you get to the site. Its remarkably easy and doesn't require any special software, unless your browser is not equipped to run 3D animation. You can still use the regular chat room just fine, but if you want to "walk" around inside my virtual chat home, then you will need to download the free 3D software. It only takes a few minutes but it is worth it!

4. Where do I go to sign the guestbook?

The good thing about QVC is that there are several opportunities on the web page to sign the guestbook. The first page, called the main menu, has a XOOM.COM counter at the bottom of the page, and beside the counter number you will see "Sign the Guestbook". You can click on it to leave us a message. You can also click on the Geocities guestbook on the Home page.

5. How can I contribute to Queer Voice Community?

If you would like to submit an article, a question, a comment, a complaint, a poem, or other online piece of work, you can send it to dawjohns@members.gayweb.com and we will reply promptly, and if you want us to, we will then add it to the website for others to see.
