Can I use Birth Control Pills to Transition?

NO !

Modern birth control pills no longer contain sufficient estrogen for use in transitional therapy. They may not even contain any estrogen at all. While the early forms of birth control pills did contain significant levels of estrogen, the current ones are typically around one-tenth the needed dosage that would be usable in transitional therapy, if that. Today, the favored drug being used in most birth control pills is progestin (see Hormones, What Are They), there may, or may not, be a small amount of estrogen. 1
