Welcome to my camp!
Everyone and Everything is Sacred!

For those of you that are not familiar with "POW WOW ETIQUETTE" here are some basic rules to follow when you attend a Pow Wow. It is my hope that the following list will assist you in learning the proper behavior.
  1. Listen to the Master of Ceremonies, since he coordinates the Pow Wow.
  2. Do not sit on the benches or chairs reserved for the dancers.
  3. Never take pictures without first getting the permission of the Master of Ceremonies and the person you are taking pictures of.
  4. All tape recording must be done only with the permission of the Master of Ceremonies and the Lead Singer.
  5. If you are not wearing traditional regalia, you may dance only on social songs. (And only those properly inducted into the Pow Wow world should be wearing regalia.)
  6. Only those with the permission of the Lead Singer may sit at the Drum.
  7. Stand during the Grand Entry, Gourd Songs, Flag Songs, the Invocation, Veteran's Songs, the Closing Song and Honor Songs.
  8. During the Gourd Dancing, only the Gourd Dancers are to enter the dance area.
  9. Do not permit your children to enter the dance circle unless they are dancing.
  10. Do not touch anyone's dance regalia without their permission.
