Resource Page - My Transition Status Started Sept 2000 - Updated January 2001 - Updated April 28th 2001 - Updated August 2nd 2001

SCHEDULE (August 2001):

Since December 25th, 2000, I have been trying to go full-time at work. Well its August 2nd and the time is
finally near. I am going full time at work at the end of this month. Finally after two previous attempts,
this time, it's-a-go. My legal name has been changed, drivers licence changed, and other documents changed.
It is now only a matter of time. Can't say I have ever, or ever be, more ready. This journey seems to be
one of speeding up and slowing down. As I approach the date, things seem strangely calm. It's really weird.
But I have been doing a lot of preparing for Transition. I even have an emergency plan should I have to go it
without a job (or take a lower paying one as a female). I have reduced my living expenses as low as I can.
While I am excited, I am also living life a more 'normal'. What does that mean? I really have a few good friends
that I hang with. We mostly go shopping, sight-seeing, hiking, or just meet for social times. I don't really
hang out at clubs or even the old haunts (QM, 7969, etc.). The newness of being and living female has sort of
worn off. Now its life as usual like everyone else in the world. People who know me as TS have been very
very supportive. I have no bad stories to tell yet (knock on wood).
