Top 10 Artists

Well, I guess I should tell you my favorite artists of all time.  Some have been out for a while, then others have been out for a few years.    I love music because it is the strongest form of expression.  It is able to captivate an audience.  The strong message is that music is important in today's society.  What I will be illustrating with this page is the importance of music artists and how they impacted me in some way or another.     JUST A REMINDER:   This page shows various pictures of artists.    The copyrights belongs to the individual artists and the person(s) or gallery that took them.   No profit is made from this page.      Apologies for that guys,   but I just wanted to make sure all the legal ends were covered.  There are some immature people out there that love to scream "lawsuit"   and it sad,  but unfortunately that is life.

10      Savage Garden

This group is originally from Australia.   I have loved this group.  I do not know why,  but I just like some of the messages that their music implies is great and inspirational.

9   Ricky Martin

"Livin' la Vida Loca".    Just love to say that.    Well,  what can I say about Ricky.   He is of course Latino.    I guess what I liked about Ricky was the great Latino beat he had to his music.   A person can easily "Shake Your Bon Bon"  to a good portion of his music.

8   Celine Dion

Celine Dion has be to be, in my opinion,  one of the most inspirational writers and singers out there.   Her beautiful wit and charm along with her great opera like singing voice has captivated millions since her early Canadian days up to this point.

7   Cher

Whether Cher is on the big screen or in music,   she is one of the best divas out there.   Her opened mindedness and excellent outfits (which some consider trashy,  but I do not) make her unique and individual in her own special way.   I have always been inspired by Cher's music and acting performances.

6    NSYNC

What can I say about these guys.   I love them.   They came on the scene and just exploded from there.    Just one of the group of boy bands that I like.  I do not know why I like them,  maybe it there sound or there fresh young look,  but I do know one thing, they are great!!

5    Christina Aguilera

Oh sheesh,  can we all say "Young Mariah Carey"   Anyway as you move down my list you will see where Mariah ranks with me.   With a fresh young singing voice, this girl has so many pluses to her.  Beauty, charm, intelligence, and talent.  How could I not like her?

4     Britney Spears

"Hit me baby one more time"  No, I do not mean for real.   This girl is wild.  Her music is fun to dance to and has a great beat.   She has the 80s Bubble Gum Music down pat,   but this kind of music has an extra kick to it to give that new millennium kind of sound.

3   Backstreet Boys

These boys are hot!!!!   Well,  just telling you what I really think.    Just like their teen idol brothers, NSYNC, they burst on the scene suddenly  and people went nuts.   I can not help it,  I love their music,  when I am ever down.  They just cheer me up and get me right back up again.

2    Mariah Carey

Okay,  I know what you are going to say......Why do you like Mariah Carey so damn much?  Well here is the answer to that question.  When I was younger (7th/8th grade),  I listened to nothing, but country music.   I guess I did not open myself up to other music because I felt a lot of it at the time was loud, out of control hip hop music which got on my last nerve.  I first listened to Mariah Carey in my music class.  I could not help, but love the music.   Her sweet harmonic voice with lots of energy and talent made me look differently at music as a whole and inspired me to open up more and be proud about myself.

1       Madonna

What can one say about Madonna?   She is revolutionary in her own right.    Her diversity in both life and music are historic.  She is the first artist to bring her music out crossing the barriers of racial and religious discrimination.    Her music brought views  that this is just not a man's world,  but it is free for anyone to live in it.    Regardless of how many people came against her,   the resolve of Madonna was that much stronger.   She is idolized by both young and old.    She displays sexual freedoms in her videos .    Some of her critics may call her of all things a "slut", but I think she has a liberal mind with a freedom to use it in her thinking, her song writing and more importantly her music.   That is why I chose her as my #1  favorite artist.
