Well,
where do I start? Besides walking on water and all of the other
amazing things that she does, Judy is the Artistic Director for the
Jacksonville Gay Chorus. She has an extensive background as a
voice and piano teacher, even though she holds a Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting. She certainly has made the chorus a group of cohesive
artists that shine when the lights go down and curtain goes up.
This just highlights her many accomplishments in her personal and
professional life.
Judy Wade began musical studies at
the age of eight. Formal studies continued at Mary Washington
College in Fredericksburg, Virginia and later at the University of North
Florida where she studied piano with Gerson Yessin. She currently
teaches voice and piano at "The Rainbow Connection," her own
studio in Murray Hill.
Her theatrical experience includes
leading roles at Theatre Jacksonville, Opera Company of Jacksonville,
King's College Players and Case Theatre. Favorite roles include
Marietta in Naughty Marietta, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance,
Madame Flora in The Medium and Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense
II. She has been a featured soloist with the Jacksonville
Concert Chorale and the Jacksonville Gay Chorus. She has appeared
in recitals around the First Coast and in Quebec, Canada.
Judy's directing credits include
productions for several area theater groups. She has also served
as musical director for several area churches and is currently the
pianist at St. Luke's Metropolitan Community Church.
None of these accomplishments
would have been possible without the loving support of her husband,
Bill, and children, Karen and Richard and his wife Blain.
Judy has certainly been a joy and
delight to have in the chorus. We hope to enjoy many more years
with her.
Thank you Judy!!! |
