This lovely little furry Lady was Kiko.
My family and I lived with her for so many years we lost count. She was a joy to our world and a light in the darkness we sometimes sunk into... I remember sometimes when I was feeling down I would put in my Original Broadway Cast Recording of "Cats" and program it to play only "Memory," the song you're hearing right now... I would sit alone and htink of how life was for me and cry every time the song reached its climax... But almost every time I started crying, Kiko would come hop in my lap and rub up against me and purr and let me pet her...
Even my father, an avid hater of cats, loved this one. She had a way of touching the hearts of everyone who was willing to pet her...
Of course, she wasn't without her faults... Kiko was prone to subtle whoring... and every time she got pregnant she underwent mood swings that would make a murderer of any human...
Unfortunately, it was her whoring around that got her killed... My parent's live out in the middle of nowhere and there are coyotes all around in the fields surrounding their house... Sometimes Kiko would be gone for weeks on end... This last time she went "exploring" she didn't come home...
So, dear visitors, this goes out to Kiko the Calico Queen of Cats... May she be reborn as the most lovely and ferocious of tigers who escapes captivity with one thing on it's mind: Kill all coyotes!
Thanks for stopping by...
