When you are unmarried and in the truth, you have only one sexual option-be celibate. This involves not being able to have sex at all until marriage. Unfortunately, the homosexual person has no hope of marrying that one's true love, unless he is really bisexual. So it is necessary to avoid all sexual activity whatsoever. Humans are largely sexual creatures so this is contrary to our nature. What are the effects??
Sexual activity releases hormones which regulate emotion and metabolism. Some persons are more mental and find sex less appealing. For these persons celibacy gives them a sense of calm and well-being. Freedom from the stress of attracting a sexual partner and the worry about sexual performance. A person devoted to a cause, religious or secular may find that thinking is clearer and life is easier in the celibate state. However, this is not true of most of the population.
For a person with heterosexual desire, the celibate state is only a temporary condition to escape the "bloom of youth" before looking for a marriage mate. Continued singleness leads to lonliness and frustration. Without masturbation or "wet dreams" as a release, the pressure builds and can lead to depression and physical pain. Fortunately, most brothers ignore the advice to avoid masturbation and use it to release their tension, perhaps fantasizing about the woman of their dreams. Normally heterosexual men who do not masturbate dream either consciously or unconsciously of heterosexual contact and have nocturnal emission. They do not really have a problem with this and is serves well unless their desire puts them in an immoral situation. If discovered this leads to reproving or disfellowshipping. In fact sexual immorality is the number one cause of being disfellowshipped.
While the heterosexual witness looks forward to possible marriage, the homosexual has no one to look forward to having a sexual relationship with. Frustration can set in if one has a real need for physical intimacy. Without sexual experience and with the terrible guilt associated with homosexual acts the truly homosexual brother cannot release his built up fluids at night. However, that is not the only problem to deal with, as I found out after age 25. Sometimes the frustration simply does not exist or goes away but the physical body strikes back. I myself never gave sex much thought through adolescence, or through college but later I started to experience internal pains and genital pains. Years later I now have prostate and testicle problems which defy explanation. No medical professional seems to know why, but the prescription for the condition caused me to gain fat and lose muscle so I now refuse medication. Hey, at least I know that it is not from a venerial disease!! My goal was and is to find out why these problems exist. In medical research I have not been able to find any examples of celibate study subjects. However, I did find someone in real life.
One of the most famous examples of celibacy are the Catholic priests. They are required to abstain from sexual activity, as do the nuns, but some do not and many may relieve tension by masturbation. Child molestation does happen and homosexuality is a reality. However I personally met a priest who had been primarily asexual and never had sex nor masturbated. I was referred to him by a friend concerned by my health problems. This priest seemed to be level-headed yet had a history of health problems. At the age of 58, his prostate had enlarged to such an extent that surgery was necessary. This really frightened me since I myself had felt trouble in that area. To this day, I really worry about my eventual future. Whereas his problems began after 40, mine have started much earlier. Continued research is necessary on my part. Any help would be appreciated.
Recently a study has proved that those who do not get sexual release incur a greater amount of problems with the prostate than those with some sexual activity. The source of the study is still unknown to me, but here is a quote from it
"They found those who had ejaculated the most between the ages of 20 and 50 were the least likely to develop the cancer. The protective effect was greatest while the men were in their 20s. Men who ejaculated more than five times a week were a third less likely to develop prostate cancer later in life. "
This is where the study was supposed to be held
"Graham Giles, of the Cancer Council Victoria in Melbourne, who led the research team, told New Scientist: "Had we been able to remove ejaculations associated with sexual intercourse, there should have been an even stronger protective effect of ejaculations."
As of late, starting in 2001 I have made it a point to try and release the built up fluids at least once a week. because of my experiences I no longer feel guilty about trying, but do not fantasize about sex to do it. Seems like the occasional use of this equipment has helped eliminate the pains and dificulty which appeared in my late 20's. Now over 35 I feel better than ever, and although taking matters in my own hands I no longer feel a need to act out any sexual activities. In no way am I condoning masturbation, but since most men do it, I am just relating my own experiences.
