History: Little is known about the mysterious Dr. X. except that he is very seclusive and obsessed with his experiments. He was never affiliated with S.M.A.S.H., but had contact with some of its members in the past.

Back around 1959 Dr. X was visited by Andrew Bryant (Captain Future) which led to an altercation between the two. During the battle Dr. X struck Byrant’s ship, the Thunderbolt, with some kind of ray. Instead of killing Captain Future as he believed, Dr. X sent Captain Future into what seemed like a black hole. Bryant would emerge forty-five years later as the cause of a time anomaly threat on Earth.

After being freed from thirty years of imprisonment in suspended animation above the Earth, American Eagle and Eaglet began a search for the missing Captain Future. Their search led them to Dr. X and another altercation occurred. This time Dr. X did end up killing his opponents and left American Eagle and Eaglet to rot in his laboratory dungeons. The Scarab and the Liberator would discover Dr. X’s crimes upon investigating him for possible involvement of a technology virus spreading over the U.S. Before the science heroes could stop him, Dr. X escaped to Dimension X. His current acitivities remain a mystery.

Powers: Unknown. However, Dr. X is a scientific genius with many creative inventions at his disposal.
