History: Orphaned at an early age Mike Ellis became the young partner of Doc Strange (now Tom Strange). Given the Alosun serum, Mike fought the criminal element beside Strange during WWII. Back then his costume consisted of a cape over ordinary clothing. Strange’s girlfriend, Virginia, often accompanied them on various missions. Mike also belonged to teen super-hero group during this time along with Tim, Eaglet and Polly (Pyrogirl ?). His exploits with the young team have yet to be revealed.

In 1969, an alien menace awoke from the interior of the moon’s surface and invaded Earth. In his attempt to rescue the captured Woman In Red, Mike was killed by the alien. The remaining science heroes were captured and placed in suspended animation above the Earth. After thirty years Tom Strange and his counterpart, Tom Strong freed the imprisoned science heroes. Together they stopped the threat of the alien, thus avenging Mike’s death.

Powers: By ingesting Alosun, Mike possessed super-human strength, the ability to leap great distances, heightened endurance and a degree of invulnerability. Whether the serum had a different effect on Mike as opposed to Tom Strange, to my knowledge, has never been questioned.
