History: Lafayette DuSoir arrived in New Orleans from Haiti in the 1960s, and rapidly became the organizer of most drug traffic on the American continent. He is also believed to have genuine occult powers, and once attacked Washington DC with an army of crazed zuvembi.

Note: Mystery Comics #1(1944) introduced a different Dr. Voodoo that fought Brad Spencer, Wonder Man. The above villain’s name was most likely borrowed from this 1940s character.
