I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. After finishing high school, I enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces, in 1981. I spent two years in the Armed forces, training in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia; and Wainwright, Alberta. I was stationed in Esquimalt, BC; during which I had the opportunity to spend six weeks in Fort Ord, California. Do I miss it ??? Yes; I believe that a two or three year enlistment should be mandatory for today's youth. The Armed Forces teaches loyalty, leadership, discipline and builds character. What I miss most is the "weapons handling". I returned to Montreal, in 1983, and spent several years taking college and university courses. I studied Political Science and US Government courses. I have worked most of My life in the hospitality industry. Before leaving Montreal, I spent two years working at the Casino de Montreal. I was gaming table supervisor, and was one of my most challenging and rewarding jobs. I moved to Vancouver in April, 1995, and am still trying to adjust to the "West Coast lifestyle"! I love to travel. I've been up and down the East coast of the US several times. I have been to Cuba twice, the Bahamas, Las Vegas twice, and most recently Palm Springs and Los Angeles. This year, I plan on visiting Seattle, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Chicago (IML), and a couple of weeks in Montreal and Toronto. I eventually want to visit Europe one day; and My "dream vacation" is to visit Egypt and go on an African safari.
