The Merger

Seminole & Out Back Railroad

Mr. Richard Fox, President and CEO of Out Back Rail Road, and Mr. Jack Davis, President and CEO of Seminole Rail Road, announced today the merger of the two lines. "We have the passenger service and are doing quite well. What we needed was to expand our freight service. We are carrying some freight, but did not have the capacity to meet our cusomers demands nor to acquire new business. With this merger, we can now expand both our passenger and freight services," said Mr. Fox. Mr. Davis added, "Seminole has had a great freight business and with the growth in Rainbow County we saw an opportunity to grow with the times. We also have a big need for passenger service and have leased coaches from Out Back to meet our needs. With this merger, both lines and the community will prosper with better, faster delilvery of goods and passengers."

On July 24th 1999 the new expanded layout was opened
