The story so far......

In 1989, when I was involved in producing the Capital District Computer Mart.  I was starved for regular features; I wanted something that would fill one page -- no more, no less.  Right around that time some of the first computer produced comic books were appearing, so I was inspired to try something in a similar vein.  Since the intent of CDCM was to serve the hobbyist market (rather than the comp-sci or business market),  then I wanted the strip to be inspirational, to say to the reader, gee, I could do this too (thus helping the advertisers sell entry-level systems).

All of the strips were produced on 512k, 8Mhz machines (Atari 512st's -- click here to learn more).  Keep in mind that these were pre-SGI days: no rendering software, primitive CAD programs, et cetera.   Your mileage may vary.
