Sure, bisexuality breaks open the little box hierarchy gay/straight -- but why stop there?
Gender, affiliation, attraction, poly/monofidelity, spirituality, identity:  all of these meet, blend, and color one another in interesting and hard-to-define ways.

If this sounds interesting to you, then XROADS might be the list for you.
 

Crossroads (XRoads) is a list for those of us with complicated lives. It's a place for the open discussion of "alternative lifestyles."
More than just a place to talk about sex and sexuality, Crossroads is a place to talk about our intersections: our relationships, our spirituality, our fantasies, and the reality of living in a homophobic and erotophobic society.

• Xroads is a safe place for consenting adults to come together and discuss their interests and activities with like-minded people.  If you are patently offended by the following subjects, then this is not the list for you:

 
• homosexuality, bisexuality, heterosexuality
• non-monogamy/polyfidelity
• non-traditional faith/spirituality
• transgenderism/transsexuality
• fetish play
• consensual power exchange (bondage/discipline; sadomasochism; sm; bdsm, etc.)
• body modification (piercing, tattooing, etc.)
• erotica pertaining to above topics.

• In order to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere, the following subjects are considered off-topic:

 
• non-consensual sex
• sex with minors or relatives (incest)
• criminal activities (NOTE:  this does not pertain to "sodomy laws" or other provincial, patriarchal, obsolete local statutes that criminalize consensual sexual activity between one or more consenting adults.  In fact, we encourage the breaking of such "laws.")
• exchange of obscenity as commonly recognized by the legal system and Supreme Court

• At present,this list is limited to self-identified women.

• Similary, the list is limited to those 18 and older.

• Admission and membership to this list is by invitation only, or as determined by the list moderator.

• Postings that might contain controversial or disturbing topics should so be identified in the Message header/Subject line.
 
For example:  A discussion about sadomasochism should have "[SM]" as part of its subject line, so that list members that don't wish to view messages on the topic can delete them without reading them.  Similarly, if a message contains sexually explicit material, "[Explicit]" should be added.

• Xroads is a topic-oriented list.  In the interests of keeping the discussion lively but at the same time ensuring that the daily mail volume stays within a reasonable limit, the following suggestions for posting are offered:

 
• New topics that are added should be of interest to at least some members of the list.  General announcements, "joke lists," etc. should be considered off-topic.
• The subject line should be pertinent to the message content, especially if it the message has controversial content (see above).
• Message threads that are exhausted should be allowed to die quietly and gracefully....
• Personal invective directed at other users is strongly discouraged; respect for the diversity of opinion and experience of other listmembers is strongly encouraged.

• Xroads is a self-policing list.

• Listmembers should be familar with the list policies and general "netiquette."
• Concerns about policy violations, off-topic posts or other similar behaviors should be directed privately to the list moderator.
• Prospective new list members should also be directed to privately mail the list moderator.
• Listmembers are expected to be dedicated to the list policies, as well as the spirit of them -- so that the list stays vital, relevant, and free of off-topic and interpersonal clutter that fills other such online spaces.

Because of the intent to keep XROADS a safe, relevant, and interesting space, membership to the list is by invitation only.To get on the list you have to be recommended by someone already on the list.
