I remember when we first met
I remember what you said
The simple hello
The warm grin upon your lips
The warmth in your hands
The strength in your eyes
The gentle breeze through your hair
And the love in your heart
We talked for hours
Though not saying a word
You shared so much with a glance

As you peered into mine

I remember when we first met
I knew I had finally found you
After searching so long
After looking so hard

You would ask
“Where are you?”
“I am looking for you”
I would say
“I am right here
Waiting for you to find me”
You would say
“Show me the way”
Centuries have past since that day
But I still remember the day we met
