Hortice the tortoise is very content.
He carries his home and pays no rent.
He carries his house where e'er he may roam.
It's the original mobile home.

Now when Hortice is caught out in the rain
he doesn't get wet and feels no pain.
When tempest besets him with gale force four
he pulls in his head and shuts the door.

Hortice is built like a miniature tank.
One would believe he is nature's prank!
Now Hortice is timid and awef'ly slow
but in his shell he is safe from foe.
