2000

Only one picture scanned in that was from this year. Most of my time and energy was focused on a new job and my divorce. I continued my gradual transition, the hormones beginning to have an effect and my hair was growing longer. I was also feeling more and more "in my body" and finding that place that was me. (Note: This picture was taken by my son who at the time was almost 4. He has become quite proficient with the point-and-shoot.) {View the pictures in this group.}

2001

Not many pictures, I will have to try and find a few more to scan in. This was taken by a wonderful friend, Mari', before Portland's Pride Parade got underway. Evan and I wandered around the start and just before the start we had to leave - he was getting very tired. Another first this day was that we rode public transportation. 2002

What a journey! I have come out the other side of the divorce and custody (for more, you can visit my TransParentcy web site). My transition has continued, I have participated in several trans panels, just completed (December 2001) doing a transgender cable television program with 2 other friends and I have found me. What a wonderful joy to just be, to hear, "ma'am," and to have met so many wonderful friends.

These were taken with my new digital toy. So here I am today, a ways from the early days of 1997. I am very happy, I have found a very comfortable "me" place to be. I rarely use makeup, I have my own hair, oh thank you, and have some wonderful times with my son. {View the pictures in this group.}
