I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1975. I grew up in Broken
Arrow, Ok and attended all twelve years of my education there graduating
in 1993. I was in the Army band until '95 and have been doing miscellaneous
jobs for a little while now. I played trombone all the way through
high school and in the Army, but in recent years, I've abandoned trombone
altogether for the piano which I play pretty well. I met my wife, Tasha, in 1997 and we've since married and now have three daughters: London, Miranda, and Vivian.
In recent years, I have been writing screenplays and teleplays and gained some internet notoriety among the virtual series community having not only written my own series, The Fempiror Chronicles, but also writing for another series entitled Guardians: Outlook. With these and other scripts, I have over 40 scripts on the net alone, most of them at simplyscripts.com where I'm a moderator on the message board for the screenwriting class.
Being a composer, my personal style has been influenced by a great many composers and songwriters who have preceeded me. These are the major influences: Igor Stravinsky, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Billy Joel, Danny Elfman (Batman, Oingo Boingo), Jim Steinman (Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler), Stephen Sondheim, Sir Elton John, Alan Menken (Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, etc.), Pain of Salvation, Modest Mussorgsky, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Prince, The Who, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Richard Wagner, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Frederic Chopin, "Weird Al" Yankovic, P.D.Q. Bach, Leonard Bernstein, Claude-Michel Schoenberg and Alain Boublil, Sir Arthur Sullivan and Sir William Gilbert, Sir Tim Rice, Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, Bela Bartok, Sergei Rachmaninoff, ABBA, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Maurice Ravel, Ludwig von Beethoven, The Doors, The BeeGees, Jonathon Larson, Johann Sebastian Bach, and many others too numerous to mention. To all of them I say "Thank you for the music, and for your part in my birth into it."
For a little more knowledge on who I am, here are a few places I regularly visit:
SimplyScripts - A site that has been invaluable in its support and feedback of new and original screenplays.
Cdnow.com For all those hard-to-find popular CD's at decent prices
Amazon.com Another online music store in case it's not at CDNow
CD Zone For albums released in England but not the US
Footlight Records For all those cast recordings including the newest ones not yet released to the rest of the country.
Express.com (DVD.com) The best DVD site I've found to date
Barnes and Noble Online To get that book you can't find in the store itself
Pain of Salvation Home Page The home page for what I believe is one of the best rock bands in the world. Completely unappreciated, they are pigeonholed into "progressive metal," but their style and heart in the music give them the honor of the only "metal" group I listen to.
The Neverland Hotel Without a doubt, the best website on the net about Jim Steinman
Jim Steinman Home Page To find out about the latest from the writer of Meat Loaf's and Bonnie Tyler's best songs
Really Useful Company Find out what Andrew Lloyd Webber is doing
Internet Movie Database This site has everything about every film, TV show, actor, and anyone else even associated with film and television
