Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Monday morning, bright and early, well, almost. Yucky day outside, lots of windy rain. Still, Heather just home from her holiday so now I've got plenty things to do and that kept me going all morning. I also, finally, got the letter to the Vicar of Llanfair Clydogau written, and it wasn't easy. I got into a conversation last night with Lorna about the bathroom and landing floor at the other end of the house and haplessly mentioned a rather silly DIY decorating idea which has meant I'm now somehow all involved in it. Which is great if it works, but I'll look foolish if it doesn't. Oh well, I like doing that sort of nonsense anyway, so what we had to do was go shopping for stain and varnish and woodfiller and sticky holographic shapes. Oh, and a trip into organics, and the video shop, the pet food shop and into the New Bridge Cafe for a bowl of chips. All the while distributing posters, well, three posters. And home via Llanfair to drop off the letter to the Vicar with Steve at the Shop.
I had a bit of time when I got home to light the fire and then Hanna arrived to finish off a few things for her new brochure pack and start a few ads and that all got done miraculously quickly without any hitches. Then I went up to see where Lorna was at with the bathroom floor and started doing the masking tape around the skirting boards and toilet and suchlike places. The next job was doing the wood filler between the cracks and smoothing it down and then that had to be left for an hour to dry before the stain could go on. The floor is made out of crappy chipboard but it looks like cork tiles now. That was enough activity for me then, I just had the energy left to put together a big salad and then it was in front of the tv for the rest of the evening, not that there was much left of it by then.
