Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

The alarm I'd set either didn't go off or I didn't hear it but I still woke up with enough time to have a cup of tea, go outside for a smoke, eat my yoghurt and clear out of the room in time before the seminar at 10.00pm. It was a gorgeous sunny day and everybody was milling about having coffee and I was very tempted to have a cup but I though it might be better not to. The first thing we had to do was the round the table introduction thing which I hate but wasn't that bad in the end. The course leader was a woman who works for the Arts Council of Wales in Cardiff and she was pretty good although I wasn't sure I was hearing much about marketing that I didn't know already. The room we were in was just off the courtyard and had huge full height widows through which the sun was pouring in and I was boiled alive, I wanted to take my shirt off but couldn't remember how obscene the vest I was wearing might be so I had to leave it on and sweat. We had a coffee break and a lunch break and a tea break, I've never seen so much eating and drinking. The lunch was a big plateful of cooked food, which I ate because there wasn't anything else but I wished I hadn't when we went back in the afternoon and I just wanted to fall asleep.

Although it was supposed to finish at 4.00 pm it was more like 5.00pm by the time I got away from there. The drive home was a bit nicer than the drive up because it wasn't dark and it didn't seem to take all that long. I had said I would cook when I got home and I didn't really feel like it at all but after a half hour rest Lorna helped me chop up some vegetables and I cooked some brown rice and it all happened quite quickly really. There was a rave happening in Llanfair Church Hall but I didn't feel like going out so I stayed home and watched a whole evening of stuff about Las Vegas on the tv.
