I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

The sun went away and the rain came back. I had to get up at a reasonable (ie. unreasonable) time this morning to make a phone call. After which I tried to make another one which was unavailable till 2.00pm and then got stuck trying to get online and had to wait an hour while some techie person at my ISP was supposidly trying to sort it out. After nearly an hour it was fixed by itself anyway...or they fixed it, I don't know which. Then I was able to go into town and collect my laundry and buy various things.

After that and a bit of lunch I had a few spare hours which I used to start to write the retrospective diary enteries for the time I was away in August. It'll be another few days untill they are up for reading though. I should have really done it before but somehow there hasn't been time or it wasn't the right time or..... something. It's getting hard now because I'm trying to remember what happened well over a month ago and I'm the sort of person who frequently cannot remember what happened yesterday . But I'm just writing what I remember, and if several days have all blurred into one then I'll write that. Hanna came round in the late afternoon and we spent the next few hours working on her brochure and other stuff. She's also left me a whole pile of stuff to do over the next few days.

That took me up to dinner time. I forgot to mention yesterday that Lauren had come home with a new kitten. She's ever so small, only six weeks old, worryingly small. I just fear for her in that madhouse... this madhouse I should say. So far she seems happy enough and my belief is that she is going to turn into one of those nutty cats. She'll be cute with it though. Yesterday she was called Ivvy, today it was Blotches or Blotchy or something. It may have changed again by tomorrow.
