Bluehook's Diary

I started doing this diary in June. If you haven't been following have a look at the Cast of Characters which gives a quick low down on the essential day to day characters who are mentioned here...it will make more sense if you do.

Well, obviously it wasn't going to be an early start. Actually it was nearing 2.00 pm by the time I thought I might as well stop trying to sleep and get up and make the fire, which, judging from the temperature of the room had gone out hours and hours ago. Outside it was kind of snowing, raining, sleeting and I didn't appreciate that when I nipped out for a bucket of coal and neglected to wear anything more than pajama bottoms, a vest and a pair of wellies, it was so cold it stung my skin. Stupid really, I just couldn't be bothered putting on a coat just to step outside the door but I'll not make that mistake again.
By the time the fire was lit and the horses fed and all that sort of business taken care off it was nearing the end of the afternoon and I needed to get some dinner organised. I headed out with a shopping list from Lorna as well as my own one in my head and the mission to track down a bag of kindling. I had no intention of doing the whole trip of going into town and going to lots of little shops, Pioneer was where it was at. The garage in town had no kindling so I drove up to Stag's Head and bought some and it was dark by then. Back home there was a bit of a delay before dinner while several days worth of washing up was taken care of and in the meantime Lauren's Playstation made its way into my sitting room, just to see if it would work, it's not going to live there, I can't even use a playstation.
Then it was time to get the dinner cooked and to have a very lazy evening after all the hard night's partying last night. We all sat and stared at the tv and a video and more tv. And now it's bedtime again already.
